PRIVACY PROTOCOL

// LAST REVISED: 2026.10.20

HUMANSTOOD observes. It does not track. This page describes, by kind, everything the site records about you, why, and how to have it removed. It applies to every exhibit; an exhibit that ever needs something not covered here will say so on its own page before you interact with it.

01 // In your own browser

Some values are kept in your browser’s storage (not cookies), such as your chosen protocol, the specimen number in the footer with its visit counts, and keys that let an exhibit remember your own results. They stay on your device unless you send them with one of the actions below, and clearing your browser’s site data erases them.

02 // What you send us

Messages sent through the Signal reach our mailbox and are used only to read and, if possible, answer them. An email address is collected only if you write one. Nothing you send is published unless you explicitly allow it: in that case contact details (emails, phone numbers, links, handles) are removed automatically, and the message appears only after a member of the collective reviews it.

03 // Optional results

Some exhibits let you submit a result (a score, a time) to a public record. Submitting is always a choice. Only the result, the exhibit’s settings and your specimen number are shown; to limit abuse, submissions may be counted per network address for a short time using a one-way hash, and the address itself is never stored or shown.

04 // Visits

Visits are counted without cookies, as aggregated figures (pages, referrers, countries, devices) that cannot identify anyone. Like any website, our hosting provider processes the network address of each request in order to deliver the page.

05 // Exhibits

  • Camera or microphone: used only after you allow it, processed in your browser, never recorded or sent.
  • External resources: some exhibits load code or media from third-party services (for example, open-source libraries), which receive your network address like any website you load content from.

06 // Your rights

Under Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD) you may ask what we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Write to signal@humanstood.com; we answer within 15 days.
